Day 5

I re-read this portion in my devotions today. Its the first thing I read after I found out I was sick.  It talks about 2 chronicles and jehosphat in the bible.  How in his time of need, he called on God. Not only for deliverance but for peace and strength.  This is what the devotional said:

"God doesn't always deliver us in the miraculous way that he did the nation of Judah, here.  Some of us do develop cancer.  Others of us lose our jobs and can't pay bills.  Still others face personal crises and catastrophes.  But God wants us to lay our anxieties before him in prayer, instructing us to not be afraid or discouraged.  For he promises to carry our problems and give us peace.  He promises to take our worries and walk with us.  He promises to bear our burdens and bless us for the sake of his Son."  Wow.
